Director's Welcome
Welcome to all international students, scholars, faculty, staff, families, study abroad students and the local community. The staff in the Office of International Services (OIS) hopes that your academic pursuits at Governors State University (GSU) will be extremely rewarding. Please use the resources that our office provides whenever necessary to assist you with anything from immigration related concerns to international programming on campus. Our website is designed to detail the programs and services that we offer.
Our mission is to support the campus internationalization efforts at GSU. This includes but is not limited to support for international students, faculty, staff and scholars, study abroad students, and the local community, creating and promoting international events on campus and integrating an international perspective into the curriculum.
It is my hope that you will find the staff in our office to be accessible, friendly and professional. We can be reached by telephone, email or personal appointment. Additionally, we have open advising hours scheduled each week for international and study abroad students. If you have an urgent request, we will be more than happy to help you right away.
Whether your stay here at Governors State University will be for a short or long time, we will do our best to support your academic endeavors. I encourage you to use our services. We look forward to working with you to achieve your goals at GSU.
