International Students
Governors State University takes its commitment to diversity and cultural understanding far beyond the borders of the community that houses it. Students come to our campus from all parts of the world, and our American students go to campuses in all parts of the world.
Students coming to GSU from other countries will find our Office of International Services (OIS) ready to help. From initial inquiries and admission applications, to enrollment and making a home at GSU, our goal is to see that students' experiences with the university, the Chicago area, and the U.S. are as rewarding, fun, and stress-free as possible.
U.S. citizens attending GSU will find OIS can assist students who want to study abroad for experiences in other cultures and universities. As the unofficial motto of OIS says, "No matter who you are or where you're from, all possibilities are open to you."
