Family and Friends Weekend is an opportunity to experience GSU’s Jaguars campus life. For many students, this special event provides the first opportunity to visit with family and friends since the beginning of the semester. Within the first two months of the fall semester, students have settled into the campus community and are actively immersed in the college experience. This exciting October weekend presents an important opportunity for families and friends to share firsthand in their student's GSU experience.

As an added attraction we will hold the 2nd annual Jaguar Jamboree on Thursday, October 8 in the gym. Wear your GSU gear and bring your school spirit!

Celebrate with the Jaguars as we introduce our Fall Sports teams and feature a scrimmage game with our Men and Women’s Basketball Team in our second annual “Jaguar Jamboree”.

    “For this project I created oil-painted landscapes using instructions from Bob Ross’, The Joy of Painting. The backdrops call attention to the artist’s hand and set the stage for nature as fabrication while examining the connections between gender and photography as sites

    of misplaced veracity. I invite the viewer to question these constructs while simultaneously depicting a sincere heroism.”

    Family and Friends Weekend participants may use the fitness center for free with their wristband.  Stop at the fitness center front desk to sign in.

    Looking for a chance to get physical while taking in some fresh air?  Join us for a non-competitive run, walk, stroll, or roll around GSU's grounds. Refreshments afterwards at E/F Wing Entrance. Sponsored by College of Health and Human Services.

     Jazz Brunch with the President

    Enjoy your Sunday brunch with GSU's President while listening to the smooth sound of live jazz.  This event will be limited to the first 300 participants.  Register early so you don't miss out on this great opportunity!  Cost is $20 per person.  Pre-registration required.

    Join us for an hour with Glenda the Good Witch and stories fit for kids of all ages. Participants can journey to different parts of the wonderland to hear various stories and create fun story-themed crafts. Sponsored by the GSU Dual Degree Program.

    Bounce Over to the Family Development Center for our Open House!
    Stop by the Family Development Center to see the award-winning accredited center where GSU Early Childhood Education students learn their craft.  Your children can play on the playground, in the gym, and in classrooms.  Fun for ages birth to five! The College of Education is sponsoring the Bounce House for our young visitors at the Family Development Center.
