“Operation Mascot” is underway

More than 400 submissions for the GSU mascot! THANK YOU!
GSU students, staff, faculty and the extended community came out in force to help determine what the first school mascot would be.
Over 400 entries were submitted. There were those kinds of mascots that you might expect (Bears, Falcons, Tigers and Gators). And then there were those that were rather unique (Gnus, Governators, Pistol Shrimp, the Thermometers, the Uniting Vizors and Cuzzoe the Western Scrub Jay). Keep checking our social media to hear more about the submissions and to see what the CHICKEN is up to!
Voting for the mascot begins at the beginning of April when the four finalists and their accompanying designs will be made public. YOU can vote for YOUR choice. The mascot will then be chosen based on a combination of popular vote and university input.
The winner and three other finalists will receive prizes.
