In the Department of Addictions Studies and Behavioral Health (ASBH) , we offer an Undergraduate program in Community Health and Graduate programs in Addictions Studies. We strive to prepare our students to address the pressing health issues that confront our communities today.
Bachelors of Health Science (BHS) in Community Health
Our Community Health Program is committed to improving and protecting the health and welfare of people throughout the state, the nation and the world. We achieve this mission by educating professionals, engaging the community, and providing a path to graduate education. Lastly, by conducting research we endeavor to develop answers to health problems and to help provide service to the community.
After completion of the Community Health Program students are eligible to apply for certification through Certified Health Educator Specialist (CHES).

Our MHS will prepare you to become a leader in the field of addictions treatment. Our program builds an excellent foundation for you to serve as treatment professionals. We also offer innovative certificate courses that provide you with the skills you need to identify individuals with addictions — and to provide the interventions necessary for effective treatment.
We additionally offer an expanded Addictions Counseling Concentration degree program.
