Description: Intercultural Competency Model for Teaching and Learning across Cultural Differences. Participants will review fundamental theories related to intercultural communication and examine their own practice and experiences using cutting-edge intercultural competency tools and methodologies including the Cultural Detective, Personal Leadership, and Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity. Specific attention will be given to components of effective intercultural communication and conflict resolution.

    Ms. Tatyana Fertelmeyster, founder and principal of Connecting Differences: Training, Facilitation, Consulting and Coaching, has been a professional interculturalist since 1989. She provides Intercultural Communication and Diversity trainings to corporate clients as well as to educators and mental health professionals.
