GSU offers 36 undergraduate degrees that will challenge you and prepare you for your future.
Transfer students are those who have completed a minimum of 25 semester hours at another school but want to transfer to GSU. Choose from 36 undergraduate degrees to complete your bachelors degree program. We look forward to welcoming you.
We offer 30 master's degree programs across a wide variety of academic disciplines. Each meets stringent professional accreditation requirements.
The pursuit of a doctorate requires precursor degrees as well as commitment and discipline. GSU offers six doctoral degree programs.
Not Seeking a Degree
Non Degree Seeking students are individuals who do not wish to pursue a degree. As a Non Degree Seeking student, you are allowed to take courses
for professional, scholarly or personal enrichment. You must complete the Non Degree Seeking application prior to registering.
International students interested in attending GSU will find a large network of other international students both on campus and new to GSU.
Students who are not U.S. citizens or legal permanent
residents, or do not possess a green card, visa or other legal
documentation, can apply for admission to Governors State University and pay in-state tuition.
If you are a member of the U.S. armed forces or a veteran, you may be eligible for education benefits.
A variety of certificates are available for advanced training and education in specific areas. Included are a number of undergraduate and graduate-only certificates.
