 Monday, August 25

  • Jaguar Welcome Café - Student Meet and Greet - enjoy a beverage and conversation, noon to 6 p.m., Hall of Governors

Tuesday, August 26

  • Student Club Resource County Fair and Pace Campus Connection - noon to 6 p.m., Hall of Governors

     Secretary of State Mobile Station   noon - 7:00 p.m.

    First Midwest Bank -- Provide financial opportunities for students. noon to 6:00  p.m.  

Wednesday, August 27


  • Student Employment Fair  -- Bring your resume and meet potential on-campus and off-campus employers.  Student will interview on the spot for Federal Work Study on campus and off-campus positions.  3:00 -6:00 p.m., Hall of Governors  

Thursday, August 28


  • Campus Crawl - Get to Know Your University - Campus Crawl cards distributed in the Hall of Governors. Students visit GSU departments between 3 and 6 pm, collecting seals for their card. Completed cards must be turned in by 6 pm in the Cafeteria Annex to receive a prize, and refreshments.
      
  • Student Leadership Exchange -- This is your opportunity to get involved, learn about the leadership positions available; Student Senate, GSU Program Council, Community Service Council, Student Leadership Program Series, Noon - 6:00 p.m., Hall of Governors
       
  • Open Mic Night -- Have you always be a star in the making!  Well this is your chance to shine; sing a song, recite a poem, share your own creation.  6:00 p.m., Cafeteria Annex.  Sponsored by the ReConstructed and GSUPC

  • Mix and Mingle -- Enjoy entertainment and food as we start the new semester.  2:00 - 6:00 p.m., GSU Lawn.

Saturday, August 30


  • Students Welcome Back Skate - Join fellow students as they glide around the rink.  Sponsored by Student Clubs and Organizations: Tau Sigma Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and D.R.E.A.M., 5 to 8 pm, Glenwood Roller Rink.  (Skate rental fee $2.50)
      
  • Day of Service Project - Riegel Farms, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., University Park, IL.  Student Community Service for the University Park Community, sign-up at civicengagement@govst.edu.

Tuesday, September 2

  • Service Works – Food Pantry Opening, Food on a budget presented by student chefs.

  • Night of Comedy -- Enjoy an evening of laughter as the Student Senate hosts comedians at GSU 7:00 p.m., Center for Performing Arts.  In enjoy the comedy of Lil Rel and Friends!  FREE for GSU students.
