University Park, IL, March 3, 2009 – Students from the Social Work Program and the Student Senate of Governors State University are sponsoring a forum on Civic Engagement on Thursday, March 12, from 6 to 7 p.m., in the Hall of Governors.
Panelists will include Dr. Larry S. Levinson, Director of the University Honors Program and Coordinator of Political and Justice Studies and Social Sciences programs; Dr. Phyllis W. Bell, Assistant Professor Social Work; Randall Vaughn, Community Organizer for the Illinois Coalition for Community Services; Ignacio Carrillo, Community Organizer for Gamaliel of Metro Chicago; and Carmin Garnica, President of the GSU Student Senate.
