University Park, IL, August 28, 2009 – The art professors and educators of the region will have the opportunity to show off their creative endeavors at the 2009 Regional College and University Art Faculty Exhibition at the Governors State University Visual Arts Gallery from September 7 through September 28. A reception to celebrate the show and the artists will be held Friday, September 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., in E-Lounge, next to the Visual Arts Gallery.
Art faculty from the surrounding region will be exhibiting their current work, which will include photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, digital imaging, drawing and mixed media. This is the perfect opportunity for the public to view the creative work of art educators from the surrounding region including GSU’s own art faculty.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. The Visual Arts Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Governors State University is located at 1 University Parkway, University Park.
