University Park, IL, July 16, 2009 – Computer Science is the first subject of a series of Enrichment Seminars beginning on July 20, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in the Hall of Honors. GSU professor Jeffrey Alfano and Oscar Herrera, GSU graduate and computer science entrepreneur, will lead the discussion.
The Enrichment Seminar series focuses on different GSU degree programs and the related careers and opportunities open to graduates. Students learn from professional who work in the field, gain knowledge of the GSU program, and discover grant and scholarship opportunities available to current and new students.
Current and prospective students as well as those interested in careers in Computer Science are welcome. The series is sponsored by the Title V Cooperative Grant and the Latino Center for Excellence.
Future seminar topics include Interdisciplinary Studies, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education, Accounting and Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Social Work, and Biology.
