Intercollege and the B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies
Intercollege, a Univerity in Cyprus, has established an educational agreement with GSU and the School of Interdisciplinary Learning (SIDL) because of a shared commitment to global education. Intercollege is located in the Mediterranean Sea at the crossroads of three continents and recognized as the most reputable college in Cyprus. In addition to hosting students from far reaches of the globe and promoting a multicultural learning environment, it is quickly becoming a global education center. Under the agreement with GSU, Intercollege students can enroll in SIDL and complete their course of study through online distance learning.
Intercollege was founded in 1980 and is now the largest university in Cyprus. It currently offers over 50 programs accredited by the Cyprus Ministry of Education (considered equivalent in standard to degrees of international universities in the US, which allow students to apply for prestigious jobs within both the private and public sectors).
Intercollege is international in its philosophy, development, and outlook, and strives to enhance opportunities for education and understanding between people of different cultures. Intercollege aims to promote high academic standards as well as cultural and social competencies in all its students. Its mission is "to assist students to become educated individuals, to achieve their academic and career goals, and to assume responsible roles in a changing world of international cooperation and interdependence."
Intercollege operates from three campuses in Cyprus:
Student enrollments now exceed 4,500 in total, with approximately 3,500 students enrolled in Nicosia.
