Online Courses
Online courses present the course content through web pages and interaction with the faculty member by electronic-mail. If you have never taken an online course, you are advised to contact the professor to discuss the hardware and software requirements for the course and course expectations.

Orientations
Some online courses have an orientation session at GSU and/or an on-line orientation to provide an opportunity for students to become familiar with their instructor(s), review course requirements, assignments and examinations. Students can usually choose either a weekday evening or a Saturday morning session. Students residing within 50 miles of the GSU Main Campus are strongly encouraged to attend an orientation session.

Students residing more than 50 miles from the GSU Main Campus are not required to attend orientations. Students not attending orientations should obtain their course materials and contact their instructor for assistance.
Course materials
After registering, study guides and textbooks may be purchased from or ordered by phone from Follett's GSU Bookstore: 708-534-4558 or 1-877-525-6578.
GSU room numbers
Room numbers will NOT appear on your class schedule from the Registrar's Office. They will be posted at most building entrances and here.
