Mathematics Graduate Programs

Master of Science in Mathematics

The graduate curriculum in mathematics is dynamic and responsive to new developments, technologies, and modes of inquiry. It provides students with opportunities to solve non-routine and real-world problems, for examination of abstract mathematical ideas and proof, and to develop a timeline of mathematics history. Students will obtain the knowledge and skills needed for both current and future job markets. Students will have the opportunity to master two of the most valued workplace attributes – the ability to think critically and to solve problems. Coursework will cover a wide range of mathematics including abstract algebra, probability and statistics, combinatorics and graph theory, the history of mathematics, financial mathematics, and mathematical modeling.
