Eliminating Health Inequity - LogoEliminating Health Inequity: From Research to Practice

More than 150 individuals — students, health business representatives, nursing practitioners, rehabilitation counselors, healthcare program managers, research coordinators, healthcare consultants, health administration professors, clinical specialists, social service managers, outreach community organizers and liaisons, case managers, and more — attended the free conference, "Eliminating Health Inequity: From Research to Practice," on October 22 at Governors State University.

The event was sponsored by the College of Health and Human Services' research program, "Building Capacity in Health Disparities" (HDR). Funded by the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD), the $5 million, five-year grant provides College faculty members with an opportunity to develop community-based research projects, with the goal of eliminating health disparities among racial and ethnic minorities.

PowerPoint presentations by Conference presenters are now available for viewing.
