The Educator TV, Governors State University's first ever OTT app, will launch in 2024.
Originating as a Public, Education, Governmental Channel launched partnership with South Suburban College, The Educator TV was created for doubling the educational opportunities for our viewing communities. By merging program schedules and efforts, our institutions provided a richer learning experience to residents in over 50 municipalities in Chicagoland. The broadcast schedule offered original programming, satellite broadcast from sources such as NASA, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Department of Education, in addition to a variety of GSU produced multimedia courses.
As technology shifts and more viewers have "cut the cord", Digital Learning & Media Design will be shifting toward offering our programming via the launch of a new The Educator TV OTT app, available on most smart devices.
