Association of Latin American Students (ALAS)
The mission of ALAS is to enhance the educational experience of fellow students through their involvement in school events intended to increase awareness about Latino heritage and culture, as well as outreach activities that positively impact our community.
Members of ALAS at GSU come from different cultural backgrounds that share the willingness to give back to their community and the desire to become leaders.

The Spanish Reading Club
The Spanish Reading Club is an organization through GSU that strives to bring together students and community members from different levels of Spanish.
The main goal of the group is to improve the members' Spanish level through social events, networking, and language exposure. The club is dedicated to exposing its members' to the Latino culture through various events throughout the semester.
Meetings are held on a weekly basis to discuss upcoming events, the current reading, as well as to practice Spanish.
Membership is open to the entire GSU community regardless of regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, gender, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, age, sexual orientation, or Spanish-language proficiency.
