Where is the Library located on campus?

The GSU Library is located on the second floor of the D Wing. Come in the Main Entrance, go straight until you come to the stairs and elevator. Take either one to the second floor. Turn left. The Library is straight ahead.

Where can I do word processing?

• Students can use word processing applications in the ACS Lab or the GSU Library. The GSU Library also has available: Microsoft Office XP Products, such as Excel and PowerPoint. The Library also has a typewriter available.

Where can I find a typewriter?

• The library has a typewriter available for public use.

Where can I use a scanner?

• The library has 2 scanners available for use and the ACS Lab has 1 scanner available. The Library scanners are available by sign up only, a picture I.D. is required.  There is a 1 hour time limit. Free for students, $5.00/hour for community users. For information on using the ACS Lab scanner, call 708-534-5000, ext. 5370.

Where can I find a color printer?

• The ACS Lab has a color printer to which the Library computers are networked. For help on sending your color print job to the ACS Lab, ask for assistance at the Reference Desk It costs $.50 a page and prints on standard white paper. If you need to print a photo, please ask for assistance. If you have any questions, the ACS Lab can be reached at: 708-534-5000, ext. 5370.

Where can I find a fax machine?

• The University Library provides fax service for currently enrolled GSU students. Go to http://www.govst.edu/uploadedFiles/FAX%20Policy.pdf for details.

Where are the library's book drops located?

The Library's book drops are located in three areas on campus.

• Inside location:  Next to library entrance on second floor
• Outside Locations
  • C Wing entrance (Dept. of Public Safety)
  • D Wing entrance  (Main Entrance)
  • Campus Map 

The following items can not be placed in the book drops: Videos, Audio Books, Reserves material and CD's.A fine of $37.50 will be charged if video/telecourse tapes are placed in an outside bookdrop, regardless if the video is returned on time.

Items placed in the outside book drop will be retrieved usually within 24 hours of placing item in book drop, weather permitting. Monday thru Friday. There are no pickups on Saturday or Sunday.
