Summer Fitness Experience—Summer 2013

Aerobics

Get in shape and lose those extra pounds.  Our aerobics program utilizes many different types of cardiovascular conditioning and allows students and members to work at their own skill level.

  • Days:    Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Time:    5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Dates:  May 28 - August 15
  • Fee:     Free to GSU students and Recreation and Fitness Center members

The Total Water Exercise Class

Tired of the same old boring routine?  Then this is the exercise class for you!  Everything from stretching, toning, and flexibility are incorporated in this water based program.

  • Days:    Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
  • Time:    10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
  • Dates:  May 28 - August 16
  • Fee:      $25.00

Aqua Yoga Flow

Yoga performed in a pool has all of the benefits of yoga and more.  Although it is suitable for all ages and physical abilities, those with chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia, arthritis and injuries can really benefit.

  • Time:  8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
  • Dates: May 28 - August 13
  • Fee:  $15.00

Yoga with Spirit

Holisically revitalize your five senses.  Naturally lower your blood pressure, tone core, and uplift your spirits!

  • Days:    Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Time:    11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Dates:  May 29 - August 14
  • Fee:      $15.00

 Zumba

Are you ready to dance away those unwanted pounds?  Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements and is at the leading edge of the fitness industry.  Getting fit has never been this fun!

  • Days:  Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Time:  5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Dates:  May 28 - August 15
  • Fee:  $10 GSU student, $40 Recreation and Fitness Center member, $100 non-member

Defending the Peaceful Warrior

Protecting yourself is your right ladies!  This unique self-defense course draws upon principles of taekwondo, yoga, and anatomy.  At the end of this program, the student will be empowered with a heightened sense of awareness and key mental and physical way to remain safe.

  • Days:  Tuesdays
  • Time:  10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
  • Dates:  May 28 - August 15
  • Fee:  $25.00

Personal Fitness Training

Personal training offers one on one instruction with a certified personal trainer.  Our trainers will customize a fitness program specifically for your individualized goals.  They will guide and motivate your to success!

  • Days, times and dates must be scheduled through the Recreation and Fitness Center sales office.
  • Fee:  $100 for 5 hours of instruction

All courses are restricted to GSU students and Recreation and Fitness Center members unless otherwise noted.  Current GSU students receive a $5.00 discount per fee based course unless otherwise noted.
