DO NOT CLIMB on the sculptures; they are not playground structures. They are works of art, just as you would find in an indoor art museum, and are subject to the same issues of deterioration - and they endure the vagaries of our harsh climate. Many of the works have already spent nearly half a century outdoors and are quite fragile. Please be gentle with our art.
Each artwork is placed with an object label providing information about the artist and sculpture.
Free, scheduled tours of the park conducted by knowledgeable guides are available May - October. Please visit www.govst.edu/sculpture for the current listing.
You are allowed to walk off of the paths, however, be advised that there are areas of poison ivy throughout the open lands of the park.
Please do not pick our flowers or grasses. We want every visitor to be able to enjoy the same views you have experienced.
There is no swimming, fishing, or ice skating allowed at either of our ponds.
There are no picnic facilities located in the park property. Tables are available from May through October on a patio overlooking the lake near the university's D-Wing. Fast food is usually available during the week through the university's food service provider. Vending machines are available year 'round in the university cafeteria.
Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in the park. Smoking is allowed only at designated areas of the University.
