Calling All Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Students:
Nurse Faculty Loan Application Deadline: August 1, 2014
The Department of Nursing at Governors State University has received federal funding from the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP). The loans are available for beginning and continuing Doctor of Nursing Practice students who have not previously received an NFLP loan. The application period for this funding opens July 1, 2014. Deadline for applications is August 1, 2014.
order to be eligible for the loan you must provide proof of:
a US citizen or national of the US or lawful permanent resident of the U .S.
and its territories;
enrolled as a student in good standing (GPA=3.0) while enrolled in the
advanced nurse education program at GSU;
good academic standing (GPA=3.0) while enrolled in the advanced nurse education
no judgment liens entered against him/her based on the default on a Federal
debt, 28,U.S.C. 3201 (e)

criteria for the loan, you will be contacted by Dr. Nancy MacMullen to set up
an appointment for a personal interview as required by the federal government. Applications must be received by Friday, August 1,
