We know your focus at Governors State University is on getting the most out of your classes and working toward a degree that will help you get that great career or promotion. But that doesn’t mean that other aspects of your life don't also make big demands on your time and energy.

Staying healthy is important to your academic success.

To help you stay on top of your game, be sure to take advantage of GSU’s fitness facilities and counseling services.

We know that sometimes illness or injury is unavoidable.  In those cases, the GSU community can access the resources they need at Riverside Immediate Care Center, just 10 minutes from campus in Monee. At Riverside you’ll find both treatment and prevention services.  And if you need a higher level of care, their healthcare professions will refer you to a physician.  For emergency care, always dial 911 first.

Transportation to Riverside Immediate Care Facility:

Upon request, the University shuttle bus provides transport to the Riverside Immediate Care Facility in Monee.  A student who needs to be transported to Riverside should call the Department of Public Safety at (708) 534-4900(708) 534-4900 and request a shuttle transport to Riverside. The dispatcher will inform the shuttle driver and as soon as the shuttle driver has concluded the scheduled run, the driver will pick up the student and transport to Riverside.  When the student had finished his/her visit, the student will call DPS again to request transport back to campus. The dispatcher will communicate pickup need to the shuttle driver who will then return to Riverside to pick up the student and transport the student back to campus.
