In accordance with Public Act 205, the Student Advisory Committee is commissioned to advise the Illinois Board of Higher Education on behalf of the students of Illinois.

With leadership, through discussion and development, direction is provided on issues and ideas to be considered, and recommendations are made from student perspective on student issues.

We embrace and encourage student development, through new and innovative means of providing access and availability to higher education for all current and potential students.

We believe in the fundamental rights of students to be democratically represented. It is with this mind that we promote out partnership with the Illinois Board of Higher Education in shared governance.
