The Visual Arts Gallery is committed to creating an excellent, intellectually stimulating, and visually compelling experience for GSU’s campus and community and with this in mind, a portion of the gallery calendar is devoted entirely to Graduate Student Exhibitions.

Students work with their advisors and other Faculty at GSU to prepare a body of work that best represents their thesis, area of academic interest, and individual artistic voice. Once the graduate student’s advisor approves, the gallery can be contacted to schedule the exhibition. Graduate Student Exhibitions represent the culmination of each student’s work and their entry into the professional art world so the application process is designed to undergird professionalism and to show the art work to the best effect.

Application Materials must be received during the semester preceding the semester in which the student hopes to exhibit their work. The specific dates of each exhibit will be assigned with consideration to the best sequence of shows for the overall gallery calendar.
