UPDATE 7/17 Campus Road and Sidewalk Project Lane Closures

June 23, 2014

There will be some redevelopment construction occurring next week as a part of the Campus Road and Sidewalk project around GSU.

This redevelopment project will occur until mid-August (weather permitting). Please take note as you drive, walk and navigate around campus.

UPDATES--JULY 17

Stuenkel Road Entrance is still EXIT ONLY. But now the west side of the median (left lane) will be open and the east side (right) will be closed. Please still use the Crawford Avenue Entrance to enter GSU.

UPDATES--JULY 7

Beginning July 8, 2014, the only available entrance to campus for motorists will be from the East entrance off Crawford Avenue. Two-way traffic from the North entrance off Stuenkel Road will no longer be available. Traffic may use the roadway leading to Stuenkel Road throughout the construction project as an exit only.

Construction is expected to be completed by mid-August weather permitting.

UPDATES--JUNE 24

  •  Alumni path will be closed until finish of construction (Metra riders who use the path to come to the campus please use the GSU Shuttle or the PACE bus.)
  • The Stuenkel Entrance roadway will have limited access.
There will be one lane for each direction--entering into campus and exiting the campus unto Stuenkel road. Traffic will be affected by the lane limitations. Please use the Crawford entrance (east entrance) if possible.
  • There will be some rerouting of traffic direction near the Family Development Center entrance. We will provide traffic directions as soon as they're announced.

Here is a map of the affected roadways and sidewalks:
