Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness

The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IR) at Governors State University is the official source for data regarding GSU. It supports administrative planning and decision-making by providing accurate and timely data and, when necessary, providing information through the design and execution of experiments and surveys where the necessary data do not already exist.

The IR Office responds to requests from outside entities, from members of the general public, and from accrediting bodies. It also responds to internal requests for information from students, faculty and staff. In addition, the office is charged with federal and state compliance reporting.

College Navigator is a resource of the National Center for Education Statistics which provides detailed information on colleges and universities across the United States. Available information includes: Enrollments, admissions, tuition and fees, financial aid, programs, net price and accreditation. Please note that the College Navigator provides information for the previous academic year.

  Profiles of Academic Majors Fall 2004-2014

The Profiles of Academic Majors (PAM) provides a ten-year longitudinal snapshot of enrollment and demographic statistics by fall term with summaries provided at the university, school and program level.  

Common Data Set 2014-2015 

The Common Data Set (CDS) is a resource of university information commonly collected by higher education publishers and other organizations.
