"Welcome to the Visual Arts Gallery at Governors State University. The gallery program has a strong tradition of making connections to the academic and creative pursuits of the students and faculty of the art program, and in 2010 the first National Juried Exhibition marked a new chapter for the Visual Arts Gallery. Exhibitions such as those in the "Ways of Making" series feature professional artists and curators. The Art on CampusProgram activates walls around campus with exhibits that resonate with pertinent themes and topics of particular interest to our ever-growing audience. Our receptions and events are free and open to the public, so stop by and say "hi," get on our mailing list and get involved."
