After reading Ron Chernow’s biography of US founding father Alexander Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda was compelled to tell Hamilton’s story in the way he knew best – by creating a musical. Hamilton tells its tale with a diverse cast and music that veers from hip hop to rap to R&B and soul. As Miranda has said, Hamilton is “America then, as told by America now.” It is a high energy show that took Broadway by storm, earning eleven Tonys (including Best Musical), a Grammy, and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Join Dr. Shannon Dermer, Dean of the College of Education, and COE faculty, staff and alumni for this exciting theater experience. Tickets are $105 (limit of four) and optional parking is available for an additional $20.
Tickets are located in the first and second row of the balcony, are limited in number, and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we expect to sell out quickly. Click here to view the Nederlander’s seating chart.
We hope to have you join us!
Optional Parking Information:
Parking is available at a garage close to the Nederlander Theatre. For $20, you may park three hours before the show and for a total of 12 hours–allowing plenty of time for a pre- or post-show meal or walk. Specific garage details will be provided as we get closer to the show date.
