Announcements from the First-Gen. Team

We would like to remind students that if neither of your parents/guardians have obtained a bachelor’s degree, you are considered a first-generation student, and we are here for you! We are encouraging you to join our student network for tailored services and support. Please stop by our office (C1321), First-Gen. Connect tables, or join our network online (here). Students who have joined our network are eligible for a first-gen. lanyard, just stop by C1321.

Graduation is just around the corner, and we are excited to offer our soon-to-be grads the chance to earn a special First-Gen graduation stole! This stole isn’t just an accessory; it’s a powerful symbol of your hard work, perseverance, and the pride that comes with being the first in your family to graduate. It's your moment to shine and show the world how far you've come. Click HERE to view the requirements for this opportunity and complete the application. Please read through the requirements thoroughly and feel free to reach out with any questions.

Are you a proud first-gen student? We want to celebrate YOU! Submit your application to be highlighted on our Instagram for First-Gen FridaysHERE. Let’s uplift and inspire each other—one story at a time! #FirstGenProud #FirstGenFridays
