Throughout each designated month, Governors State University features a variety of programs and events highlighting the culture, traditions and contributions to society which these groups have made. Women's History Month 2025

Women's history is a vital component of our shared human narrative. he national recognition of the impact that women have made throughout history. The theme for 2025 celebrates “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” Governors State University in celebrating women, past and present, and acknowledging women’s vital role in shaping American History. The theme recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.

Hygiene Product Drive
Time: All Month
During Women’s History Month, the Kaleidoscope Service Council invites the campus community to support their Personal Hygiene Product Drive. Donation boxes will be located across campus to receive feminine hygiene products and essential care items. Donations should be new and full size (please no travel size items) ranging from pads, tampons, baby wipes, body lotion, body wash, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, mouthwash, etc. Items collected will be used to stock the GovState Pantry.
