Hear about Federal Work Study and Regular Student Employment opportunities on campus from hiring managers at GovState. Professional attire is recommended. Bring plenty of resumes. The event is sponsored by The Office of Career Services.

Chicago Sky Women's Basketball Game

Take a tour of the Greater Chicago Area and celebrate basketball at a Chicago Sky Game!
THE BUS LEAVES at 5 p.m. from the D Main Entrance. 1 ticket per student. Must register by 5pm on Jaguar Connection by 8/27/24.

Secretary of State Mobile Unit
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Illinois Secretary of State’s office comes to campus to bring DMV services to GovState! Stop by to renew, replace, or correct driver’s licenses and State ID including Real ID; purchase vehicle stickers and register to become an organ/tissue donor.

Motorists may renew their driver’s license one year in advance of their license’s expiration date. A complete list of acceptable forms of identification is available at ilsos.gov.

Acceptable forms of payment include personal checks and Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards. Please note that cash will not be accepted.

GovState Block Party & Greek Life Fair

Come together and celebrate the beginning of a new school year! Meet club/organization leaders, members of local chapter fraternities and sororities, and community partners. Enjoy complimentary food truck cuisine, games, a live DJ, and more! RSVP required. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

Binge Fest 2024

Binge-watch some of the best short films from the 2024 Chicago Southland International Film Festival's Short Film Competition (CSIFF) and join the post-film discussion.

Free pizza, popcorn, and beverages will be provided for those in attendance (while supplies last) and the first 20 attendees will receive exclusive CSIFF swag.

The Center for Student Engagement and Intercultural Programs invites all campus partners to support the GovState Food Pantry by participating in the "Spirit of Giving" Donation Drive. Show your GovState spirit by wearing the university colors and donating much-needed items from the list below:

  • Shelf stable milk
  • Fresh eggs
  • Individual toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Mouthwash

Come hang out and celebrate the end of your first week of classes. Free admission with valid GovState ID. $5 Admission-18+ guests with valid State ID. 2 guests per GovState student. Doors close at Midnight.
