Founded in 2004, formerly known as the Center for Online Teaching and Learning, the Center for Active Engagement and Scholarship is dedicated to assisting faculty in developing and delivering quality online classes and supporting students in using the Blackboard Learning Management System.
The primary mission of the center is to support faculty in designing, developing and delivering high-quality online and web-enhanced courses. This mission is accomplished through a combination of on-campus and online activities including faculty development, consulting, instructional design, and helpdesk support for instructors who use online teaching strategies in their courses.
