Program Spotlight: Moving from surviving to thriving: Supporting our students in their time of need.

58,000 college students reported being homeless on their FAFSA application for financial aid. In a 2016 study, 48 percent of responding college students reported food insecurity in the previous 30 days. Nationally, 45 percent of college campuses report an increase in student homelessness. These national reports are alarming. What’s happening on our campus? Has a student told you they aren’t sure when their next meal might be? Or perhaps you have seen the same student sleeping in the library or student lounge. You probably have talked to a student who has confided that they are unable to complete their academic work because of a life crisis. The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is hosting a professional development program on Tuesday, June 6 focused on raising awareness and providing resources that will help you support our students in their time of need.
All are invited to attend, if interested, please RSVP here >>>
