FACULTY PROFILE

"I manage the institutional records program for the University, assisting the departments in document retention and serving as the liaison to the Illinois State Archives - Records Management Unit. My other services include administering the Library's Institutional Repository OPUS and maintaining an archive of the digital permanent records.

I grew up in the Chicago area and have been at Governors State for most of my professional career. I started in the Library in 2005 in research services and, through the support and guidance from mentors and leadership, became responsible for the University Archives and Records Management programs in 2012. My experience also includes serving as the Records Coordinator for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation before returning to the University as Records Management Officer in 2018.

As the needs of the library evolved my responsibilities expanded to digital services including event and journal hosting on the repository, submitting publications to the Illinois State Government Documents Unit, and indexing the works of student and faculty. Being in the Library is quite fulfilling and I strive to help preserve and provide access to the publications and scholarship produced by the GSU community."
