On Tuesday, March 11 in room D1496, Dr. Colleen Sexton will give a presentation on the scholarship of teaching. After attending this presentation, attendees may view teaching in a different light.
The presentation explores what it means to work toward the highest standards of “groundedness, of openness, of clarity and of complexity.” To move scholarly teaching into the realm of the scholarship of teaching, it requires that instructors step back and reflect on the teaching they have done and recount in a way that can be publicly reviewed and built upon by peers.
The presentation will run from 3-4 p.m.
