In an effort to help promote learning, both inside and outside the classroom, Governors State University sponsors educationally enriching and purposeful programming through many of its departments. Across campus, departments sponsor programming consistent with their functional area, and in support of the teaching mission of GSU.
Faculty are encouraged to peruse the resource guides below that outline opportunities for educational collaboration, ideas for integrating educational programming into the classroom, and resources to promote an engaged classroom experience. Resource guides are particularly useful as you prepare your semester syllabus or seek our extra credit educational opportunities.
Resource guides are built around the three cohort themes (civic engagement, global citizenship, and sustainability) and programming areas central to student affairs learning outcomes (career preparation, diversity education, leadership development, student success, and student well-being). If you are interested in exploring more fully educational programming outside these focus areas, please contact deanofstudents@govst.edu.
