FACULTY PROFILE
Mrs. Kristin Siville has several roles at Governors State University; she is a teacher at GSU's Family Development Center, Adjunct Instructor for the College of Education & Human Development, and Mentor for Early Childhood Teacher Candidates. Kristin was a special education teacher for 11 years in a south suburb of Chicago. She has an IL Professional Teaching License with endorsements in Learning Behavior Specialist, Early Childhood Education, and English As A Second Language. Kristin earned her MA. in Multi-Categorical Special Education from Governors State University in 2008, and her B.A. in Special Education from Elmhurst University in 2001.
Throughout her 20-plus year teaching career, Kristin has taught almost every age/grade level. Here at GSU, Kristin teaches EDUC 3410 Classroom Management and EDUC 2310 Foundations of Education courses. Since she continues to teach younger students in the classroom, she believes there is significant value in her ability to offer her college students a real-life view of current classroom climates and the professional field of education. Inspiring new teacher candidates and elevating the quality of educators entering the teaching profession is her growing passion.
