Linda D. Campos-Moreira, Ph.D., MSW, M.Ed., is an
Assistant Professor of Social Work at Governors State University, where she teaches research, practice evaluation,
and human behavior in the social environment at the BSW and MSW levels. She obtained her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of
Illinois’ Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2016. Her
research addresses the influence of students' sense of ethnic identity and the impact of the learning environment on student outcomes. Prior to teaching, Dr. Campos-Moreira worked as a Latino outreach coordinator to help families
prepare for college and worked with youth and their families in a mental health
and recreational setting. She also advocates for immigrant rights and LGBTQ
rights.
