Lori Crowder, Ph.D., MSW, is a part-time University Lecturer with Senior Status in the Social Work department at Governors State University, where she teaches at the BSW and MSW levels. She obtained her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Illinois’ Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2018. Her research addresses the impact of incarceration on intimate partner relationships. Dr. Crowder also works as the Executive Director of a violence prevention organization, and she advocates for the rights of people affected by the criminal justice system.
