FACULTY PROFILE
Margaret D’Astici, a University Lecturer, has been an early childhood educator for twenty-four years. She taught kindergarten for seven years and 1st grade for twelve years. She also spent five years of her career as a Parent Education Coordinator for a Preschool-for-all program.
Margaret earned her M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Trauma & Resiliency from Concordia University-Chicago and her B.S. in Education from Loyola University-Chicago.
Margaret teaches early childhood methodology, assessment, and field experience courses and supervises student teachers. She enjoys supporting teacher candidates in lesson planning and helping them integrate engaging and developmentally appropriate teaching practices to best serve their students.
