FACULTY PROFILE
Dr. Lu is a Full Professor in the Department of Health Administration at the Governors State University. She received her PhD in Health Services Policy and Management from Norman J. Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, and her MPH from the Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh. She completed her PhD dissertation as a researcher at the Department of Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins Primary Care Policy Center, Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Lu’s research interests include health care access, utilization, quality, and outcome. In the area of public health issues, her research focuses on preventive care services, health behaviors, and program evaluation. She has published research in high impact peer-reviewed journals such as International Journal for Quality in Health Care, Journal of Medical Systems, Journal of Rural Health, Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved, Journal of Healthcare Management, American Journal of Infection Control, and Medical Care, etc.
She has been serving as the Chair for the Department of Health Administration, and the Program Director for Master in Health Administration program since 2018.
