FACULTY PROFILE
Ms. Dalrymple joined the College of Education and Human Development faculty in the fall of 2019. She teaches education courses for undergraduate students and supervises student teachers. Ms. Dalrymple began her teaching career as an English instructor at Hiroshima Bunkyo Women’s College in rural Japan. After two years in Japan, she taught international college students at Kent State University before taking a job as a university lecturer at the Dresden University of Technology Institute of Advanced Studies, where she taught professional and academic English to students majoring in business, international relations and architecture.
Upon returning to the US, Ms. Dalrymple worked for Prince George’s County Public Schools, where she taught English as a Second Language at the elementary and middle school levels, wrote curricula for the county, and worked as an instructional coach and teacher educator. She earned her National Board Certification in 2010. In Illinois, Ms. Dalrymple taught sixth grade reading-language arts and English as a Second Language in West Harvey-Dixmoor. While she misses “her kids” and her time in the K-12 classroom, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to support future educators and shape the future of teaching!
