FACULTY PROFILE

Dr. Sara Schnoor's mission is to serve others and a collective cause by offering a passionate vision, thoughtful perspective, and transformative leadership. She strives, alongside other educators and co-conspirators, to lead the improvement of school systems for the benefit of all children. Her service of over 20 years in public education can be captured by her belief in the power of education to create positive change and equitable outcomes for individuals and communities, centering the experiences of children and families while also owning accountability for their futures, and knowing people are at their best when they are driven by their passions and curiosities as well as empowered with trust. Dr. Schnoor is grateful for her experience teaching and leading at both the elementary and secondary levels in South Carolina, Arizona, and Illinois. She earned her Ph.D. from New Mexico State University (2021) and her Ed.S./Superintendent Endorsement from Concordia University (2024). Dr. Schnoor joined the faculty at Governors State University in August of 2024.
