STAFF PROFILE
Uriah is the Television Production Coordinator for Digital Learning and Media Design at Governors State University. Uriah received an Associate Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Lincoln College, B.A. in Communications, and M.F.A in Independent Filmmaking and Digital Imaging from Governors State University. During his time at GovState he has exceled and climbed the production ladder.
He worked as a Production Assistant on several productions, was hired full time as a Media Specialist, promoted to Television Producer – Director, and now promoted to his current role. Uriah also taught production courses for the Media Studies Program for about 3 years.

“Sweet Home Chicago Blues: 50 Years of Alligator Records” (Producer/Director/Editor), National Endowment for the Humanities grant-funded production "Veterans Speak: War, Trauma, and the Humanities" (Editor), "Respond to Violence: The Impact of Mental Health” (Technical Director/Assistant Editor), “Respond to Violence: Interpersonal Trauma” (Technical Director/Editor), “Respond to Violence: Gun Trauma”(Technical Director/ Editor), and “Beloved Community Civil Rights Tour” (Producer).
He also mentor’s student workers in the Digital Learning and Media Design department. Uriah truly loves Governors State University. Uriah has a deep passion for film and admires the art behind creating independent films.
