Faculty: Course Design Essentials Cohort
In an effort to help promote accessibility best practices in all course modalities, CTL offers the Building a Culture of Accessibility and Inclusion workshop. Using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines and QM Standard 8 for Accessibility as a guide, this multi-week workshop will run as a cohort model. Faculty can sign up for one of the scheduled sessions each semester. Scheduled sessions will be 2-weeks long and run asynchronously. Participation will result in a Certificate of Completion for 10 clock hours of professional development.

This new training for all instructors (including new adjuncts and professors at GSU) will cover the basics of using Blackboard – our LMS system. We will also cover other digital tools that can enhance teaching and learning. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and work with the CTL team to gain a better understanding of how to leverage these technologies effectively. This training session is a great way for new faculty and staff (and anyone who needs a refresher!!) to familiarize themselves with the tools that will help them succeed at GSU.
