  • Before you Begin

    GSU has mobile device access enabled. Once you install the app and login you will be prompted to search for Governors State University and login with the same GSU credentials (the same as the web version of GSU Blackboard Learn, myGSU portal and GSU email). Before you download and install the Blackboard Student App on your mobile device, make sure your device's operating system is at least iOS 13+ or Android 11+.

  • Install App and Login

    Please proceed to the App Store or Google Play to download the app. You may search for Blackboard or use the links provided on the Install App and Login web tutorial.

    To login to the mobile app, please make sure to search and select "Governors State University". Login with the same GSU credentials (the same as the web version of GSU Blackboard Learn, myGSU portal and GSU email)

  • Touch ID and Face ID

    The Blackboard app does support Android fingerprint login, iOS Touch ID login, and iOS Face ID, but Android facial recognition is not supported at this time.

  • Join Class Collaborate sessions

    As long as a link is provided within a course, students can launch Class Collaborate sessions from the Blackboard app.
