Accreditation
The Illinois Board of Higher Education approved the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in January 2006. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities approved the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in January 2007.

Job Outlook
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of physical therapists is projected to grow 15 % from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations (Source). Demand for physical therapists has grown by more than 34% as of 2024 and the amount of Physical Therapists who are employed has increased to 240,820 nationally. National annual salaries range from $72,260 to $130,870 depending on your job title and experience.
