Graduate Student Shows

Requests are made in Fall Semester for student exhibitions in the Visual Arts Gallery, or other locations in the Art on Campus spaces, for exhibitions in Spring Semester.

To initiate the process the student's advisor will email the gallery director stating that the student is indeed prepared for exhibition.

Exhibition dates in April are reserved for student exhibitions. Other dates may be considered. The length of the exhibition is between one week and one month depending on the number of student exhibition requests. Art on Campus spaces are generally one month or longer also depending on the number requests and other exhibitions scheduled. Summer exhibitions are occasionally an option but require advisor permission and are not guaranteed.

Once the student's advisor has confirmed preparedness, the student will schedule a meeting with the gallery director and staff to discuss details: number of works, format, hardware needs, installation limitations, wall vinyl, reception dates, access to gallery, scheduling of installation and deinstall, and other concerns. This meeting will also occur in Fall Semester for Spring Exhibitions, and additional meetings will be scheduled as needed. Communication early and often is encouraged.
