Welcome, CAS Alum!
Dear Alumni,
Greetings from the College of Arts and Sciences! I hope this letter finds you well and thriving in your personal and professional lives. It is my pleasure to share with you some exciting updates about our thriving programs and the impactful work being done by our students and faculty.
Our community has been leading global efforts in Restorative Justice, engaging locally and internationally from our community to places like Brazil and Italy. This important work is creating change through dialogue and reconciliation, fostering a more just world.
Innovation is at the forefront in our Computer Science program as students and faculty explore cutting-edge technologies such as drone delivery systems. Their research is paving the way for advancements that will shape the future of logistics and beyond. These are just two examples of how the College of Arts and Sciences continues to innovate and make a difference.
GovState continues to make a profound positive impact on the region, offering a wide range of academic opportunities and engaging in extensive community outreach through the Center for Community Media, the Center for Performing Arts, the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park, the Art Gallery, and the Biological Field Station . Whether you join us for a community event or return to continue your education, we hope you experience the same sense of belonging that our graduates express.
We invite you, our esteemed alumni, to share your own accomplishments with us at CASDean@govst.edu. As the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at GovState, I am delighted to reconnect with you and share the significant impact you continue to make on our community as graduates. GovState’s mission has always been to offer an exceptional and accessible education that equips our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in a global society. Your achievements and contributions as alumni are a testament to the success of this mission.
Whether through mentorship, speaking engagements, or simply staying connected, your involvement is invaluable to our community. We are also eager to welcome your support in furthering our mission—be it through engagement in our events, mentoring current students, or contributing to a scholarship that can help the next generation of learners succeed.
Together, we can ensure that CAS remains a place of discovery, growth, and global impact.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. We look forward to hearing from you and celebrating all that we can accomplish together!
Warm Regards,
Jason Zingsheim, Dean of Arts and Sciences
