Welcome the New Dean
of the College of Business, Dr. Sonia Dalmia  Hello Everyone! As the
newly appointed Dean of Governors State University's College of Business, I'm
absolutely ecstatic! This university has accomplished incredible things, and
I aim to take us even higher. Throughout my 24-year journey in higher education,
I have come to appreciate great teaching methods and adaptability as
essential attributes in meeting changing global demands. Thank you to all our
faculty and staff - you're the stars behind our success! I can't wait to join
forces in elevating our college. Students, you are the
heart of what we do! My mission? Supporting and nurturing your dreams while
equipping you for the business world. Let's chat - I am eager to hear what

military family in India meant frequent moves and schools; this inspired my
love of travel and teamwork. Today I'm married to AI expert Arun, and
together, we have two kids: one at USC studying marketing, while the other
studies Data Science at the University of Michigan. Thanks for the warm
welcome. I am looking forward to experiencing all that fall energy on campus.
